China's Xinyuan Natural Gas plans to conduct trial runs at its 300,000 cubic metre (cbm)/day liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant at Baotou in Inner Mongolia in late September, a company source said on Wednesday.
The company has completed unit tests at the plant on 8 September, the source said.
The plant is equipped with a 4,500 cbm storage tank and will mainly consume feedstock gas supplied by PetroChina's Changqing Oilfield, the source added.
"Output from the LNG plant will be supplied to households and our LNG-refuelling stations in Baotou city, with extra volumes sold nationwide in China," the source said.
The company owns one LNG-refuelling station in the city and is planning to build more in future, according to the source.
Baotou-based Xinyuan Natural Gas largely engages in related businesses of LNG production and distribution.
