China's Qilu Petrochemical has raised its 2-ethylhexanol (2-EH) offer by yuan (CNY) 100/tonne ($15.9/tonne) to CNY11,600-11,700/tonne EXW (ex-works), it said on Friday.
The company lifted the offer in line with the increasing price of propylene in the domestic market, which rose by CNY600/tonne to CNY10,700/tonne EXW on 2 March, according to Chemease, an ICIS service in China.
In addition, 2-EH prices in the east China market are expected to continue to rise next week with market players holding an optimistic attitude, a market player said.
Spot prices of 2-EH in the east China market were assessed at CNY12,000-12,100/tonne EXW on 2 March compared with CNY11,800-11,900/tonne EXW last week, according to Chemease.
