No increase in gas, diesel prices

China's top economic planner announced Wednesday that it will not raise the per-ton retail price of gasoline and diesel for the two weeks from Thursday.

It is the second time that there will be no change in prices after February 12 this year.

The regulator attributed the no change to international prices not meeting the standard for price changes.

Domestic fuel prices are adjusted when international crude prices reflect a change of more than 50 yuan ($8.15) per ton for gasoline and diesel over 10 working days.

The regulator raised gasoline and diesel prices on February 27 after two rounds of cuts in January.
