Sinopec Jinling Petrochemical plans to process 1.08m tonnes of crude in January, with the daily throughput down by 2.7% from the previous month, a company source said.
The drop was within a normal range, because the company has no turnaround in the month, the source added.
Located at Nanjing city in east China’s Jiangsu province, Jinling Petrochemical currently has three crude distillation units with capacities totalling 13.5m tonnes/year. Imported crude accounts for more than 2/3 of its total throughput. The company is expected to increase its crude processing capacity to 18m tonnes/year in 2012.
